The Challenge
DB Regio AG wanted to develop an app that makes train travel more social and attractive. The goal was to easily connect passengers and enable spontaneous ridesharing on train routes. A particular challenge was scalability: With over 11 million passengers transported per day, the app had to be technically designed to function stably and reliably even under high load.
